About SEDS UNLV
The SEDS UNLV chapter was established in January 2019 as a science and engineering-based student organization aimed at developing a variety of space-related endeavors. The organization aims to bring together students passionate about space to work on challenging projects, and foster interest among the student body in space exploration.
We are a pre-professional organization focused on giving you the necessary experience & opportunity to work in aerospace, and we do that through engineering projects. We proudly help students with no experience or background in engineering learn how to design, simulate, prototype, test, and finalize rocket builds.
Meet the Officers
Dylan Castle
Secretary
Dylan Castle is a Junior Mechanical Engineering student. Working at SEDS UNLV he has been involved as the Workshop program’s lead and mentor. He has helped many students obtain their L1 and L2 High Powered Rocketry Certifications. Dylan has interests in manufacturing using 3D printing, using his skills to manufacture many components for different projects in SEDS.
Kai Yeung
Treasurer
Kai Yeung is a Junior Mechanical Engineering student. He has experience being apart of the recovery team for SEDS UNLV’s 2025 IREC team. Playing a major role in the successful recovery during competition. Kai has a strong passion using engineering to help others and hopes to use his knowledge to help humanity reach the stars.
Dominic Prisneac
President
Dominic is a student working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Since he's joined SEDS UNLV, he's been able to help out with SPARK 1, fly a level 1 high-power rocket, design a level 2 rocket, and start work on SPARK 2 as the Lead Combustion Devices Engineer focusing on the thrust chamber assembly. He hopes to continue growing his passion for aerospace as his journey continues.
Kylee Brahma is a junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Biology. She is Tripoli Level 1 certified and is currently pursuing her Level 2 certification. With a strong passion for aerobiomedical engineering, she aspires to contribute to projects that optimize manned spaceflight missions, building on her experience as an Space Biosciences OSTEM Intern at NASA Ames in Summer 2025.
